The Project
This was a full rebrand project. Michael’s of Brooklyn is rooted in heritage and authenticity. The challenge was to modernize the brand without compromising its cultural identity. The inspiration of this project was Carbone packaging and their restaurant, also based in Brooklyn.
The Action
I developed a refined logo, monogram, menu system, and supporting brand elements. I adopted a new illustration style, stepping outside of my comfort zone and consulting with a professional illustrator to refine the direction. The visual language balances tradition with contemporary clarity.
The Result
The final identity honors the restaurant’s heritage while positioning it confidently in a modern market. This project expanded my illustration skills and strengthened my understanding of brand evolution.
