The Project
With only one parameter, to use cyanotype in the process, the project required both experimentation and collaboration. Working as a two-person team, we needed to create a poster campaign that felt cohesive while embracing an unpredictable analog medium.
The Action
We experimented extensively with how folded paper would react to cyanotype exposure. The breakthrough came when we coated the paper in solution before folding and exposing it to light. Once unfolded, the paper revealed organic, unexpected patterns that became the foundation of the final design. Through iteration and shared critique, we balanced our design instincts.
The Result
The final posters feel tactile, experimental, and alive. This project strengthened my collaborative skills and deepened my appreciation for physical process. It reminded me that discovery often comes through making, not just planning.
